When I was growing up I often felt sadness at the problems plaguing society, and I wondered what the reasons were for people suffering poverty, illnesses and other afflictions. I would then begin thinking about how these circumstances could be changed; I would think of ideas to help the poor or bring about the elusive world peace, but then I would think, “Who am I to think I can change the world?”

As I grew and developed courage I realized that actually I could make a real difference – at home, at school, and later at work and in the whole community by leading through my ideas, hard work, volunteering, and charitable giving.

With everyone working together and not tugging in different directions, the speed and quality of work will increase, as will team morale.
